Christmas Eve in rural England 1985. A grandmother tells her grandchildren the story of how she escaped Frau Perchta in Germany as a child. An horrific folk legend, Frau Perchta is a haggard witch that would appear only in winter to punish badly behaved children in the most gruesome way - slicing their stomachs open and filling them with pebbles and straw. Her sceptical daughter scolds her mother for filling her children’s heads with such a terrifying tale, only to be awakened by their screams and discovering that the curse remains within the family should you survive an encounter with Perchta. Now she must find a way to break the curse and save her children before it’s too late.
